1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ParleAfrica ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Who Can Use ParleAfrica

ParleAfrica is open to anyone aged 13 and above. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at parleafrica@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not create accounts for others without their permission, impersonate any person, or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

4. Community Rules

ParleAfrica is a community built on respect. You agree not to post content that is:

  • Hateful, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory
  • Sexually explicit or inappropriate
  • Spam, misinformation, or deliberately misleading
  • In violation of any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Illegal under Nigerian law or applicable international law

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. Full guidelines are available on the Community Guidelines page.

5. Content You Post

You retain ownership of content you post on ParleAfrica. By posting, you grant ParleAfrica a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content on the Platform. You are solely responsible for the content you post.

For blog articles submitted to us, you confirm that the content is original, does not infringe any third-party rights, and that you have the right to grant us permission to publish it.

6. Premium Subscriptions & Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed securely via Paystack. Payments are in Nigerian Naira (NGN). Subscriptions are not auto-renewing — they expire at the end of the selected period. No refunds are issued for unused portions of a subscription period.

ParleAfrica reserves the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on ParleAfrica that is not user-generated — including the logo, design, lessons, and code — is the property of ParleAfrica and may not be reproduced without written permission.

8. Disclaimers

ParleAfrica is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Platform will be error-free. Language learning outcomes depend on individual effort and are not guaranteed.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ParleAfrica shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
